Local Elections: Tweedledum Surges Ahead
The local elections are over; Labour has done well, despite having almost identical policies to the incumbents on Europe, climate change and so on. The real news is the turnout: only 32%, the lowest since 2000. A thought: how low can it get before an election is declared invalid? Should there, in fact, be a minimum level?
